Published in : Man. Orchid. Pl. 7: 70 (1891).

Distribution : Java to Sulawesi.

Homotypic Synonyms: * Saccolabium huttonii Hook.f., Bot. Mag. 93: t. 5681 (1867). * Basionym/Replaced Synonym

Remarks : Thanks to Timothy Choltco for correcting the identity of this species. RBG Kew's Monotcot Checklist however treats this species as synonym to Aerides thibautiana Rchb.f. but Mr Choltco disagrees as "The differences between the two species is the length of the midlobe of the lip and differences in the calli in the spur."
